Jerusalem, Israel. Demonstrators holding signs in the colors of the Palestinian flag with a watermelon or the word "freedom" on them. The protesters are holding these signs, and not the Palestinian flags because the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, has forbidden the waving of Palestinian flags and police officers are violently grabbing them from protesters. This protest was held on July 23, 2023, the evening before the vote on Standard of Reasonableness law. In the week preceding the vote in the parliament, a huge march arrived in Jerusalem and stayed overnight in Jerusalem in a tent camp. Demonstrations against the current government broke out in January, 2023, claiming that the new government is promoting Judicial Overhaul laws.
